hey i like your page
What's that reference to? Weber dead in 1949.
Between paragraphs?
Nice structure
wow kim, you've really improved this since I commented last night. good job :)
if you have time before it is due, I would add a few quotes to suport what you say about the theorists.
I couldn't figure out how to get it out of comments either and then I notice there's "options" on comments and one of them is edit and then I could copy it out of the comment and stick it in the page which I did.
maybe so, but seeing as this is the final, and I must demonstrate a deep understanding of social theory to get a good grade in this class, I will keep it on the pithy side.
I think this is simple and I like the way you did it. I would just create a final synthesis, like a presentation in case people don't read all of those readings links.
I agree. Simplify! This feels like one of those wikipages that I skip because it's so overwhelming. Wiki is just to intro the topic… Not give every detail, in my opinion. But, awesome work!
I also think you say that you have to define modernism, but then there's not really a definition. More of just how postmodernism build or differs from it.
Although I appreciate the chronicling of the Frankfurt Schoolas I have been a little fuzzy on dates of it and the ins-and-outs of particular contributorsI think your Wiki could be helped out by specific biographical information, concepts, terms, etc. of each thinker you had in your sampler.
Your explanation of the relationship between the socio and the psych was great; I initially didn't know exactly what to expect, but that set the stage well. After that, however, it might be helpful to talk a little bit about the specific theories, concepts or ideas associated with the thinkers in addition to their biographical information.
My immediate thought upon reading your Wiki was to ask what the "dichotomy of modernism" was. After reading your discussion of the gray area that is post-modern, I was able to gather (or so I think) that the dichotomy of modernism is the theoretical black and white. It might help before you continue on post-modernism, to explain more its relationship to modernism directly. Is there more to the dichotomy of modernism? Or are we just referring to it theoretically? (I hope I'm making sense!)
As Amy said, it's incredibly difficult to point out anything to improve. The use of pictures immediately caught my attention—the pictures themselves and the fact they entirely altered the format of the page. It felt more like something I wanted to read than something I had to read. The use of a personal experience to initially catch attention was also great. I wish I could be more helpful in terms of constructive criticism, but it's great!
It was a rough draft; I hadn’t inserted the quotes or definitions yet (they are up now), but had noted that I would in order to remind myself what I was doing with this. It was astute of you to notice this paper was missing these importent aspects of the paper.
please add more information and quotes from the text to back up your statments. Also, it would be awesome if you break it down more and give exsamples of how and where pomo theorists question "the polarity and dichotomy of modernism" using quotes from your text and then exsplaining these quotes you use.
very well done. I liked your useing pics and quotes, and relating it to something we can relate to. the whole page is very well done; I can't think of anything to add
I'm a little confused about how the topic relates to the image…
I can't figure out how to get the 2x2 onto the page.
i enjoyed your wiki. and liked the way you encorporated event to your own leaning experience and theorists. i would say clean up you page by using headings for your ideas and for your examples of theorists ideas. you can make your page look less like an essay and more like a detailed wiki page on all this wonderful info you have attained.
